Admission for High School   

a) Eligibility:

Admission is open to VIII standard Boys only. 
Candidates must have passed VII standard or its equivalent. 
Minimum physique : Height 135 cm and Weight 28 kg. 
Candidates with chronic diseases, physical deformities, bedwetting, sleepwalking, epilepsy etc are not eligible. 
Students migrating from outside Karnataka can take only Hindi as first language as per the norms set by the Department of Education. Study of Kannada as first or third language is mandatory for all. 

b) Mode of Admission:

Selection through admission tests only. 

The admission test will be in the form of a written examination in English, Mathematics, Science and Social Science which will be based on the syllabus of VII Standard (Karnataka State) and in Mental Ability. 
In addition, there will be an interview and a medical check up. 
Question papers of previous admission tests will not be made available. 
The admission tests may be taken either in English or in Kannada medium. 
Admission tests will be held in Vidyashala premises only during the first week of May every year in batches ( 8 A.M. to 1 P.M. and 1 P.M. to 6 P.M.). 
Actual date and time of the tests will be intimated on receipt of the application forms duly filled in. 
The list of selected candidates will be announced at Vidyashala on 6th May at 5 P.M. 
Only successful candidates will be informed of their selection by post. 
Selected candidates will have to be brought for admission between 1st June and 5th June along with original Marks Card and original Transfer Certificate duly countersigned by the Educational Authority of the area.


c) How to Apply:

Prospectus with application forms A and B are made available from 1st March every year on payment of a prescribed fee. 
Applications duly filled in along with true copies of marks card of VII standard examination, copies of certificates of achievements if any, should reach the Correspondent on or before 20th April of every year. 
The prescribed registration fee is to be paid either by cash or through a crossed bank draft. Cheques or postal orders are not accepted
