                                                   Vidyarthi Homa

Vidyarthi Homa is a ceremony in which students take vows of ideal student hood (5 in number) by offering Bilwa leaves into the sacred fire. Five vows or pledges are chanted in the form of mantras, with each mantra ending with an appropriate salutation (Pranama). This Homa owes its origin to Swami Nirvedanandaji Maharaj who introduced it in the 1930's. This homa is performed by the new entrants of the institution in the presence of the entire school.
